Regatas defeated União Corinthians 70-68 in the latest Interligas game. Claudio Ramirez (200-F-1990) scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for the winners. Felipe Vezaro (192-G-1992, college: TAMIU) answered with 15 points for Uniao Corinthians.
San Martin Corrientes held off UniFacisa 77-76 in the tournament. Manny Payton (183-PG-1997, college: FSU) stepped up with 20 points, while Franco Mendez (188-SG-2002) added 14 points for the Argentinean team. Matias Solanas (193-SG-1998) replied with 17 points for UniFacisa.
Platense in the meantime beat Pato Basquete 85-69 behind 20 points from Nick Banyard (203-F-1994, college: UCF, agency: Octagon Europe). Gabriel Novaes (208-C/F-2001) topscored with 14 points for Pato Basquete.
Dexter McClanahan (193-F/G-1997, college: Nicholls) notched 17 points to lead Fortaleza past Penarol. Facundo Tolosa (190-G-2002) and Ignacio Bednarek (206-PF-2001) netted 16 points apiece for the Argentinean side.
