Fortaleza B.C. Cearense (NBB) agreed terms with 29-year old Brazilian power forward Joao Demetrio (208cm-116kg-1995) for new 2024-25 season. He played last season at Sayago in Uruguayan Metropolitan. In 14 games just recently he had 13.4ppg, 10.4rpg and 2.1bpg. He also played for Praia Clube (CBB).
Demetrio has played previously for six other Brazilian teams: Vivo/Franca, Paschoalotto/Bauru, Brasilia, Blumenau, Rio Claro and Mogi.
He played in the final of Brazilian CBC League in 2021.
