Nardi is back at Caxias do Sul

Caxias do Sul Basquete (NBB) signed experienced 36-year old ex-international shooting guard Betinho Nardi (195cm-95kg-1988) for upcoming 2024-25 season. It is actually his comeback to Caxias do Sul as he has played here before. He will still stay in Brazil where he played last season at Coop/Sao Jose Basketball in Brazilian Paulista. In 6 games just recently he had 7.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.5apg and 1.0spg. He also played for another Brazilian team Sao Paulo earlier that season. Nardi also played 36 games in NBB where he recorded 7.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.8apg.
He was also a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. Nardi played for Brazilian Senior National Team between 2009 and 2011 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2007.
He also represented Brazil at the Panamerican Games in Guadalajara (Mexico) thirteen years ago. During this event he scored an average of 1.3 points per game and had rebounds per game.
Nardi has played also in Greece (Panionios), Italy and Brazil (Minas, Pinheiros, Paulistano, Winner/Limeira and Rio Claro).
Among many awards his team won Paulista League Regular Season in 2023. He was voted to Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Domestic Players Team back in 2017.
Nardi is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Caxias do Sul.
