Macedo re-signs at Samara

Isabela Macedo

Politeh-SamGTU Samara (PBL) confirmed in their roster 30-year old Brazilian international forward Isabela Macedo (180cm-72kg-1994) for season 2024-25. She has played there for the last two seasons. Quite impressive season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Russian PBL Defensive Player of the Year and selected to Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
She has been also a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. Macedo has regularly played for the Brazilian senior team since 2014 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2013.
She also represented Brazil at the FIBA South American Women's Championship in San Luis (Argentina) two years ago. Her team won Gold and she had almost 7 points per game.
Macedo is quite experienced player. She has played also in Bulgaria (Montana), Slovenia (Celje), Spain (Valencia and Zamora), Portugal (GDESSA/Barreiro) and Brazil (Guarulhos, Mangueira/Petrobras, Sao Jose, UNINASSAU Basquete and Sampaio).
Among many awards she won Slovenian SKL championship title in 2022. Macedo was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Slovenian League Player of the Year in 2022.
