Shamell Stallworth (ex Puerto Varas) joins Caxias do Sul- October 7, 2024

He played last season at Club Deportes Puerto Varas in Chilean LNB league. In two games he had 12.0ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.0apg. He won Paulista League championship title in 2010, 2011 and 2016. Stallworth was voted to Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Imports Team back in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. The previous (2022-23) season he played at Sao Paulo in Brazilian NBB where in 11 games he recorded just 2.9ppg and 1.3rpg in that year. Stallworth helped them to make it to the Brazilian National League final. He is quite experienced player. Stallworth's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in five different countries. Stallworth tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in China, Croatia (Zadar), Venezuela (Marinos), Brazil (Minas, Pinheiros, Paulistano, Araraquara and Winner/Limeira) and ABA (Visalia D.). It's very possible he may end his playing career at Caxias do Sul. Stallworth graduated from University of San Francisco in 2003 and it will be his 22nd (!!!) season as a professional player. He won Paulista League championship title in 2010, 2011 and 2016. Stallworth was selected to Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Imports Team back in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
