Borges' 27 points and 8 assists give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old point guard Alexey Borges (185-PG-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
He had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds and eight assists for Flamengo in his team's victory, helping them to beat UniFacisa (#11, 12-13) 85-71. Flamengo maintains the 2nd position in Brazilian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Flamengo will need more victories to improve their 18-5 record. In the team's last game Borges had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Flamengo's top player in his first season with the team. Borges has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 8.2apg) and averages solid 56.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Danilo Fuzaro (193-G-1994) of top-ranked Minas Belo Horizonte. He is international guard in his second season at Minas. In the last game Fuzaro recorded an impressive 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Minas cruised to a 70-59 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Pinheiros (#8, 13-11). Of course Minas still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 19 matches. Fuzaro is well-known at Minas and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Arthur Pecos (188-PG-1994) of Botafogo Rio de Janeiro (#17). Pecos scored 19 points and passed 12 assists (!!!). He was a key player of Botafogo, leading his team to a 91-76 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Pato (#15, 9-17). Pecos has individually a great season in Brazil. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.8apg (9th best).

7. Fred Thomas (196-F-1993) of Botafogo - 24 points and 3 rebounds
8. Nathan Mariano (206-F/C-2003) of Sesi/Franca - 16 points and 7 rebounds
9. Douglas Silva (202-SF-1998) of Sao Jose - 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Elio Corazza (195-PG-1989) of Corinthians - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists
