Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game between third ranked Brasilia (18-10) and fifteenth ranked Pato (10-18) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Brasilia was defeated by Pato in Pato Branco 80-98. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Brasilia. The game was mostly controlled by Pato. Brasilia managed to win second period 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Brasilia 34-20 including 22 on the defensive glass. Pato looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for power forward Gabriel Novaes (208-2001) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American point guard Nate Barnes (181-1990, college: ABU) contributed with 27 points and 4 assists for the winners. point guard Lucas Lacerda (179-1997) answered with 25 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for Brasilia. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pato moved-up to fourteenth place. Brasilia at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Pato will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brasilia will play at home against Botafogo and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Paraiba. Eleventh ranked UNIFACISA (14-14) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (16-12) 77-74 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paschoalotto/Bauru. Argentinian Matias Solanas (193-1998) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and Sergio da Conceicao chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Andrezao Barbosa de Abreu (213-2002) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. UniFacisa moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Pinheiros and Sao Jose. Bauru at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Vasco da Gama. UniFacisa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bauru will play on the road against Sesi/Franca (#4) in Sao Paulo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Fabrizzio Rojas nailed 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Andre Bresolin came up with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for Sao Paulo in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Caxias do Sul moved-up to fifteenth place. Sao Paulo lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 33: Bauru beat Cearense on the road 74-66. Pinheiros won against Mogi on its own court 91-77. Botafogo unfortunately lost to Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro 66-80. Caxias do Sul managed to beat Paulistano at home 99-95. Mogi was crushed by Corinthians on the opponent's court 93-73. U.Corinthians smashed Sao Paulo in a home game 95-74.
The most impressive performance of 33th round was 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists by Dikembe Andre of U.Corinthians.



Cearense - Bauru 66-74

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (16-12) beat on the road bottom-ranked Fortaleza (8-20) 74-66 on Tuesday. Bauru made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The former international guard Alex Garcia (191-1980, agency: Interperformances) nailed 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and American point guard Dontrell Brite (175-1994, college: Mount Olive) accounted for 22 points. American swingman Dexter McClanahan (193-1997, college: Nicholls) came up with 17 points and the former international power forward Renan Lenz (207-1990, college: Utah) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Cearense in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bauru maintains fifth place with 16-12 record, which they share with Vasco da Gama.
