Brazilian CBB round 1 best performance: Samuel Santos (by Hoops Agents)

Shooting guard Samuel Santos (187-SG-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Brusque Basquete/ADB, receiving a Hoops Agents CBB Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Blumenau (#5, 0-1) with 21-point margin 95-74. It allowed Brusque to take over top position in the Brazilian CBB. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Brusque won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Santos had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Brusque and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Samuel Santos has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 27.0ppg), assists (4th best: 4.0apg) and averages impressive 3.0spg and 81.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Robson Junior (178-PG-2000) of league's second-best Basquete Tatui. Junior had a very good evening with 22 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists. It was enough for Tatui to edge Osasco (0-1) 88-86. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Junior is a newcomer at Tatui, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#3). He also recorded 6.0 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Gabriel De Oliveira (202-G-1993) of Basquete Blumenau/APAB (#5). De Oliveira scored 27 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite De Oliveira's great performance the Blumenau lost 74-95 to Brusque (#1, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for De Oliveira as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

10. Aquiles Ferreira (194-G-1998) of Tatui - 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
