The Regular Season in NBB is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 7 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Rio de Janeiro: Flamengo (#2) and Vasco da Gama (#6). Flamengo (21-7) won against visiting Vasco da Gama (16-13) 84-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Vasco da Gama. Flamengo made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Vasco da Gama helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Alexey Borges (185-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). American guard Shaquille Johnson (191-1990, college: Marshall) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Marcus Vinicius (205-1984) produced 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Vasco da Gama's coach Leo Figueiro rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Flamengo maintains second place with 21-7 record having just one point less than leader Minas. Newly promoted Vasco da Gama keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Bauru. Flamengo's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Rio de Janeiro to the arena Botafogo.

Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Minas (23-4) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Caxias do Sul at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Minas will play against U.Corinthians (#5) in Santa Cruz do Sul in the next round. Caxias do Sul will play on the road against Sesi/Franca (#3) in Sao Paulo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Other games of round 35 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Pato defeated Paulistano in Pato Branco 94-77. UniFacisa was beaten by Sesi/Franca at home 71-83. Sesi/Franca won against Cearense on the opponent's court 83-74. Sao Paulo unfortunately lost to Pato in a home game 65-69.
