Cerrado Basquete Brasilia (LBF) signed experienced 38-year old Brazilian ex-international point guard Joice Rodrigues (174cm-68kg-1986). She just played at Partizani in Albania Superliga. In 5 games she had 6.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 4.6apg and 2.6spg last season. Her team made it to the cup final. She also played 4 games in Liga Unike where she recorded 4.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.5apg and 1.0spg. The last season she played at Ituano Basquete (LBP).
Rodrigues was also a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. She played for Brazilian Senior National Team between 2012 and 2017 and previously for the Under 21 National Team back in 2007.
Rodrigues also represented Brazil at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) nine years ago. During this event she scored an average of 3 points per game and had 1.6 rebounds per game.
She has spent her entire career in Brazil playing for four other teams: de Nassau, Ourinhos, Catanduva and Corinthians.
Among many awards she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Paulista League Honorable Mention back in 2022.
It's very possible she may end her playing career at Cerrado.
