Santos' 20 points and 6 assists give him CBB Player of the Week award

25-year old shooting guard Samuel Santos (187-SG-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Brusque Basquete/ADB and receives a Hoops Agents CBB Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 20 points adding three rebounds and six assists for Brusque in his team's victory, helping them to crush Tatui (#2, 3-2) with 25-point margin 94-69. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Brusque to consolidate first place in the Brazilian CBB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Brusque already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Santos had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's his second year at Brusque and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Santos has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.0ppg. Santos is in league's top in assists (7th best: 3.7apg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 76.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Joao Mamedes (201-PF-1998) of Basquete Blumenau/APAB. He is a forward in his first season at Blumenau. In the last game Mamedes recorded an impressive 20 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Blumenau lost that game 61-77 to Tatui (3-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Mamedes is a newcomer at Blumenau and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Rafael Castellon (191-G-1985) of league's second-best Basquete Tatui. Castellon got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. Despite Castellon's great performance the Tatui lost 72-77 to Joacaba (#5, 1-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tatui needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Castellon has a great season in Brazil. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.0ppg (7th best).
