Basquete Blumenau/APAB (CBB) agreed terms with 29-year old power forward Joao Demetrio (208cm-116kg-1995). It is actually his comeback to Blumenau as he has played here before. Demetrio just played at Cearense (NBB)the team from Blumenau. In 32 games he had 7.6ppg and 4.5rpg last season. CBB will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
The most of last summer he spent at Sayago in Uruguayan Metropolitan where in 14 games he recorded 13.4ppg, 10.4rpg and 2.1bpg. He also played for Praia that season. In 9 CBB games he averaged 11.8ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.4bpg. Demetrio helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league.
He has played previously for five other teams: Vivo/Franca, Paschoalotto/Bauru, Brasilia, Rio Claro and Mogi.
