American Guard Anthony Harris (191-G-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Basket Osasco, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Vitoria (#6, 1-7) with 18-point margin 69-51. Osasco maintains the 2nd position in Brazilian Liga Ouro. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Osasco will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. Harris just recently signed at Osasco, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Chicago State University star has very solid stats this year. Harris is league's best scorer averaging so far 21.0ppg. Harris is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 7.0rpg) and averages impressive 2.5spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Gabriel Mendes (206-C-1996) of Esporte Clube Vitoria Basquete. Mendes had a very good evening with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Vitoria lost that game 62-72 to the higher-ranked Sorocabana 2 (#3, 4-4). Vitoria are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Vitoria managed to get this year. Mendes is one of the most experienced players at Vitoria and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Tulio Souza (184-G-2005) of league's top team Cruzeiro Esporte Clube Basquete. Souza scored 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He was a key player of Cruzeiro, leading his team to a 81-71 win against #4 ranked Minas in a game of the week. Cruzeiro confirms their top position in the standings. Souza has a very solid season. In 8 games in Brazil he scored 7.9ppg.
