There was a change at the CBB leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Brusque (6-3). They were edged by second ranked Tatui (6-2) 74-71 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Tatui outrebounded Brusque 47-33 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tatui looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Jonathan Costa (195-2002) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Robson Junior (178-2000) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side center Rodrigo Silva (207-1987) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Tatui have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Brusque at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Tatui. Brusque will play next round against Santos trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Tatui will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Blumenau at home.
Important game to mention about took place in Osasco. First ranked Brusque (6-3) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging their biggest opponent Osasco (5-3) 75-74 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Osasco. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Lucas Campos (190-1997) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Rodrigo Silva accounted for 12 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Tarek Santana (205-2001) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for Osasco in the defeat. Osasco's coach Enio Vecchi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Brusque went down to second position due to points difference. Osasco at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. Brusque will play against bottom-ranked Santos (#6) in the next round. Osasco will have a break next round.

Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blumenau maintains fourth place with 4-3 record. Loser Joacaba keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Blumenau will meet league's leader Tatui on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Joacaba will have a break next round.
In the last game of round 7 Osasco destroyed Santos on the opponent's court 75-54.
