Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (NBB) signed 22-year-old Brazilian 198cm swingman Daniel Onwenu for the upcoming season. He last played for Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico (NBA G League) in the U.S. and averaged just 0.7ppg in three NBA G-League games last season.
He has played previously for two other Brazil teams: Corinthians and Corinthians.
Between winning multiple awards, he played in the final of the Paulista League in 2023. Onwenu was voted to the Brazilian All-Star Game in 2024.
