Flamengo adds Cummings to their roster, ex Shiga L-Stars

Markeith Cummings

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (NBB) added to their roster experienced 36-year old American small forward Markeith Cummings (198cm-109kg-1988, college: KSU) for new 2025-26 season. He played last season at Shiga L-Stars in Japanese B1 League. In 51 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 5.1rpg and 3.1apg.
The previous (2023-24) season he played at Atletico Petroleos de Luanda (Division I) in Angolan league.
In 2013 he was drafted by Bakersfield Jam (D-League) in third round (44th overall).
The former Kennesaw State University star is in his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Cummings' career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in twelve different countries. Cummings tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. He has played professionally in France (Pau Lacq Orthez), Greece (Panionios), Hungary (Szolnok), Korea (Samsung Thunders), Lebanon (Maristes), Mexico (Abejas), Philippines (Terrafirma Dyip), Poland (Twarde Pierniki), NBA G League (Sioux Falls), Egypt (Al Ahly Cairo) and ECBL (C Port Trojans).
Among many awards he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Honorable Mention in 2023.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Flamengo.
