Rio Claro is considering to sign Murilo Alves

Rio Claro Basquete (NBB) is close to signing 23-year-old power forward Murilo Alves (208cm-95kg-2002) who last played for Osasco/3681">Basket Osasco in Brazilian CBB. In 9 games recently, he averaged 11.4ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.1apg, and 1.3bpg last season. NBB will be a better match for him, and he can expect more playing time. In the 2025-25 season, he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian CBB Center of the Year, named to Honorable Mention, and selected for the All-Defensive Team. He also played for Osasco (LDB U20).
He has played previously for four other teams: Paulistano, Blumenau, Mogi, and Paulistano.
