ABOT Joinville welcomes back Dos Santos

ABOT Joinville (Catarinese) signed experienced 35-year-old 208cm power forward Lupa Dos Santos (college: Slippery Rock). It is his return to ABOT Joinville as he has played there before. He last played at Pato in the NBB, averaging 3.7ppg, 2.7rpg, and 1.4apg in 32 games last season. Catarinese will provide a better opportunity for him and he may get more playing time.
He has spent his entire career in Brazil playing for eight other teams: Vasco da Gama, Pinheiros, Osasco, Macae, Sorocabana, Sao Jose, Rio Claro, and Mogi.
Among many awards, he won Basketball's League Americas championship title in 2022. Dos Santos was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Paulista League Honorable Mention back in 2016. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at ABOT Joinville.
He graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2013 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball. Dos Santos played also for Marshalltown Community College for one year.
