There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Paulista. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 2 most important game was a defeat of Sao Jose. They were defeated by Rio Claro 97-92 on Saturday night. Rio Claro made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Bosnian guard Marko Rikalo (187-1994) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Akin Cortez (182-2005) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. Rio Claro's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Douglas Silva (202-1998) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Sao Jose will play next round against Sorocabana trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Rio Claro will try to continue on its current victory against Paulistano in Sao Paulo.
Mogi recorded a loss in Mogi das Cruzes. Hosts were defeated by Sao Jose 84-78. The former international guard Adyel Borges (190-2002) notched 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Caue Freitas supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 23 points by American forward Duane Johnson (204-1991, college: ESU) did not help to save the game for Mogi. Mogi's coach Milos Haslberger rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sao Jose will play against Sorocabana at home in the next round where they are favorite. Mogi will play against Sesi/Franca in Sao Paulo to get more than just one victory in their record.
Quite upsetting was Pinheiros' home defeat in a game versus Corinthians who edged hosts 79-77. The best player for the winners was Lucas Caue who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Caua De Souza produced 28 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Pinheiros' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Corinthians will meet Osasco on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pinheiros will play against Bauru and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 2: Paulistano destroyed Mandic Basket on the opponent's court 94-68. Bottom-ranked Sorocabana managed to outperform Osasco in a home game 67-65. Sesi/Franca managed to beat Mandic Basket on the road 81-65. Paulistano crushed Bauru on its own court 88-65.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
