Caxias do Sul Basquete (NBB) confirmed in their roster experienced 44-year old double-passport holder American swingman Shamell Stallworth (195cm-98kg-1980, college: USF) for new 2025-26 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster as Paraguayan Fabrizzio Ruiz signed here earlier. He played there last season. In 38 NBB games he had 13.0ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.4apg. The previous (2023-24) season he played at Club Deportes Puerto Varas (LNB) in Chilean league.
He is a very experienced player, having played in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). Stallworth has played professionally in Chile, China, Croatia (Zadar), Venezuela (Marinos), Brazil (Minas, Pinheiros, Paulistano, Araraquara, and Mandic Basket), and ABA (Visalia D.).
Among many awards, his college team made it to the InterContinental Cup final in 2023. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Liga Americas Honorable Mention back in 2018. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Caxias do Sul.
Stallworth graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2003, and it will be his 23rd season as a professional player.
