Minas Belo Horizonte (NBB) signed 31-year-old American Erik McCree for the upcoming season. McCree, who stands at 202cm and played college basketball at La Tech, last played for Guaiqueries in the Venezuelan SPB league. In his 6 recent games, he averaged 20.7ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.2spg. McCree has also played for Leones in the Puerto Rican league.
McCree is a very experienced player, having played in fifteen different countries on four continents during his pro basketball career. He has experience in European, Asian, Latin American, and North American leagues. McCree has played professionally in Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Turkey, the NBA, NBA G League, and NBA Summer League. He was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Forward of the Year in 2025.
His team finished as the regular season runner-up in C-USA in 2017.
He graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2017 and it'll be his ninth season in pro basketball. McCree played also for Murray State University for one year.
