Cincinnati signs Lucas Lopez, ex Paulistano

The University of Cincinnati signed 21-year-old Brazilian international shooting guard Lucas Lopez (6'5''-191lbs-2004). He played last season at Paulistano-Sao-Paulo-U20-team/49317">Paulistano in Brazilian LDB U20. In 7 games recently, he had 7.3ppg, 2.3rpg, and 1.7apg. Lopez also played for another Brazilian team, Paulistano (Paulista), in the Brazilian league. He played 3 games in Paulista, where he recorded 7.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.0apg, and 1.0spg.
He has been a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. Lopez has regularly played for the Brazilian senior team since 2024 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2022.
He also represented Brazil at the FIBA World Cup U19 in Debrecen (Hungary) two years ago. Lopez's team won Silver and he had almost 7 ppg.
