Corvalan's 38-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old ARG-ITAn point guard Facundo Corvalan (190-PG-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for BRB/Brasilia and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had the game-high 38 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Brasilia as his team lost the game against U.Corinthians (#9, 3-2) 88-95. Brasilia maintains the 7th position in Brazilian league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Brasilia will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Corvalan had a remarkable eight three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He turned to be Brasilia's top player in his first season with the team. Corvalan has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.4ppg), assists (8th best: 5.6apg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 55.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Andre Bresolin (195-SG-1987) of Luvix/Uniao Corinthians. He is international guard in his first season at U.Corinthians. In the last game Bresolin recorded an impressive 25 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course U.Corinthians cruised to a 95-88 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Brasilia (#7, 5-2). This victory allowed U.Corinthians to move up to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bresolin is a newcomer at U.Corinthians and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Matheusinho Brito (183-PG-2000) of Botafogo Rio de Janeiro (#16). Brito scored 27 points and passed 5 assists. He was a key player of Botafogo, leading his team to a 82-75 win against slightly lower-ranked Pato (#18, 1-6). Botafogo can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Brito has individually a great season in Brazil. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (9th best).
