Australian Guard Alexander Mudronja (196-G-1999) had a great game in the last round for Fortaleza B.C. Cearense, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 26-year old player tried to help (31 points, eight rebounds and six assists) his team in a lost game to Rio Claro (#15, 4-10) 95-98. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Fortaleza moved-up to the 16th position in Brazilian NBB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Mudronja had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Fortaleza's top player in his first season with the team. Alexander Mudronja averages just after two games 19.0ppg and 4.5apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Venezuelan Yohanner Sifontes (192-G-1995) of UniFacisa Paraiba. Sifontes had a very good evening with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course UNIFACISA cruised to a 85-78 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Rio Claro (#15, 4-10). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. UniFacisa keeps 10th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Sifontes is a newcomer at UniFacisa, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Gemadinha Sacco (182-G-1997) of Rio Claro Basquete (#15). Sacco showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Rio Claro, leading his team to a 98-95 win against slightly lower-ranked Cearense (#16, 3-9). Rio Claro can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Sacco has a very solid season. In 14 games in Brazil he scored 14.9ppg. He also has 3.2apg and and 3PT: 40.7%.
