Scott's 16 points and 6 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old American power forward Devon Scott (205-F/C-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for Luvix/Uniao Corinthians and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had the game-high 16 points adding six rebounds and four assists for U.Corinthians in his team's victory, helping them to crush Botafogo (#19, 3-13) with 23-point margin 84-61. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. U.Corinthians is placed at 11th position in Brazilian league. U.Corinthians is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-7 record. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be U.Corinthians' top player in his first season with the team. University of Dayton graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scott is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 7.5rpg) and averages solid 55.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Anderson Barbosa (192-G/F-2000) of Mogi das Cruzes Basquete. He is a swingman in his first season at Mogi. In the last game Barbosa recorded an impressive double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Mogi was edged by the lower-ranked Bauru (#10, 8-8) 62-58. Mogi managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Barbosa is a newcomer at Mogi and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 8.1ppg (#1). He also registered 7.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-G-1995) of UniFacisa Paraiba (#12). Sifontes showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of UNIFACISA, leading his team to a 89-70 easy win against the lower-ranked Osasco (#17, 4-13). UniFacisa needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 7 lost games. Sifontes has a great season in Brazil. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.9apg (9th best).
