Former international Guard Daniel Von Haydin (195-G-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for BRB/Brasilia, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, eight rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Rio Claro (#16, 4-16) with 18-point margin 78-60. Brasilia maintains the 5th position in Brazilian NBB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Brasilia will need more victories to improve their 15-5 record. It's Von Haydin's second year at Brasilia and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Daniel Von Haydin averages this season 10.4ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Anthony Harris (191-G-1997) of Basket Osasco. Harris had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Osasco lost that game 74-104 to the higher-ranked Sesi/Franca (#2, 18-3). Osasco is still second from the bottom in the standings. 17 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Osasco managed to get this year. Harris is a newcomer at Osasco, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.2rpg and 4.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Melvin Johnson (193-G-1993) of UniFacisa Paraiba (#10). Johnson got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He was a key player of UNIFACISA, leading his team to a 89-88 win against the higher-ranked Flamengo (#1, 18-3). UniFacisa needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 10 lost games. Johnson has a great season in Brazil. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.9ppg (7th best).
