Akl is back at Al Sharjah

Al Sharjah (D1) signed 33-year old Lebanese-Brazilian international point guard Rebecca Akl (170cm-1992). It is actually her comeback to Sharjah as she has played here before. She just played at Al-Adeem in Qatar .

She also played for Al Sharjah.

a standout performance throughout the tournament. Akl was a key player for Lebanon, scoring crucial points and making important plays. She showed great skill and determination on the court. Her leadership was evident in the way she guided her team to victory. Akl's contribution was recognized by fans and critics alike. She proved to be a valuable asset for Lebanon during the FIBA Asia Cup for Women.

She is a very experienced player, having played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and Africa). Akl has played previously in Algeria (Kocidar), Greece (Esperides, Chania, PAOK Thessaloniki, and Panserraikos), Lebanon (Homentmen Antelias, Al Riyadi, Maristes, and Club Beirut), Spain (Leganes), and Czech Republic (KP Brno).

She won the Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Player of the Year award in 2024.
