The game between third ranked Pinheiros (17-4) and eleventh ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (11-10) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Pinheiros was defeated by Paschoalotto/Bauru in a tough game in Bauru 94-101. Bauru dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Pinheiros' 28 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Bauru looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bauru made 12 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by Pinheiros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Vasco will play against higher ranked Corinthians (#6) in Sao Paulo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cearense will play at home against Botafogo (#19) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
NBB top team - Flamengo (19-3) added another victory to their record on Wednesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Corinthians (14-8) in Rio de Janeiro 94-88. Alex Negrete nailed 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Flamengo's coach Sergio Hernandez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Davaunta Thomas came up with 29 points for Corinthians in the defeat. Flamengo maintains first place with 19-3 record. Loser Corinthians keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Flamengo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Corinthians will play against Vasco (#20) in Rio de Janeiro and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 25 were not that significant. U.Corinthians beat Pato on the road 80-72. Brasilia won against Caxias do Sul on its own court 77-65. Botafogo unfortunately lost to UniFacisa in Paraiba 68-77.
