Power forward Anderson Rodrigues (207-PF-1997) had a great game in the last round for Coop/Sao Jose Basketball, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (18 points, seven rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Cearense (#17, 5-19) 97-82. Sao Jose is placed at 7th position in Brazilian NBB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sao Jose will need more victories to improve their 15-9 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Rodrigues as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Anderson Rodrigues averages this season 11.2ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international point guard Georginho de Paula (197-PG-1996) of Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo. de Paula had a very good evening with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Vivo/Franca was edged by the lower-ranked Paulistano (#8, 14-9) 91-89. This loss caused Sesi/Franca to drop to 4th position in the standings. His team's 19-5 record is not bad at all. de Paula is well-known at Sesi/Franca and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Raekwon Horton (198-F-2002) of Pato Basquete (#16). Horton showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Pato, leading his team to a 84-53 easy win against the higher-ranked Flamengo (#2, 20-4). Pato can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 6-19 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Horton has a very solid season. In 19 games in Brazil he scored 11.6ppg.
