American Stan Scott (193-G-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Rio Claro Basquete and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 27-year old guard had the game-high 23 points adding five assists for Rio Claro in his team's victory, helping them to beat U.Corinthians (#12, 12-12) 82-77. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Rio Claro maintains the 15th position in Brazilian NBB. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Rio Claro have already lost 17 games and recorded just seven victories. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Rio Claro's top player in his first season with the team. Missouri Southern State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scott is in league's top in points (8th best: 13.0ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 5.7rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Devon Scott (205-F/C-1994) of Luvix/Uniao Corinthians. Scott impressed basketball fans with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as U.Corinthians lost that game 77-82 to the lower-ranked Rio Claro (#15, 7-17). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. U.Corinthians dropped in the standings to 12th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. Scott is a newcomer at U.Corinthians and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.1ppg (#8). He also registered 7.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Matheusinho Brito (183-PG-2000) of Botafogo Rio de Janeiro (#17). Brito scored 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Botafogo, leading his team to a 70-69 win against the higher-ranked Mogi (#9, 13-11). Botafogo can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-19 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Brito has individually a great season in Brazil. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.4ppg (5th best) and assists with 6.5apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tulio Da Silva (203-F-1996) of Cruzeiro - 19 points and 7 rebounds
5. Guilherme Abreu (200-PF-1999) of Paulistano - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Daniel Von Haydin (195-G-1999) of Brasilia - 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Dontrell Brite (175-PG-1994) of Bauru - 26 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Adyel Borges (190-G-2002) of Sao Jose - 26 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Rafael Munford (195-F-1998) of Corinthians - 22 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
