Brazilian NBB round 32 best performance: Georginho de Paula (by Hoops Agents)

International Point guard Georginho de Paula (197-PG-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Minas (#4, 19-6) with 18-point margin 100-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Vivo/Franca is placed at 2nd position in Brazilian NBB. They are still close to the very top. Sesi/Franca would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 21-5 record. In the team's last game de Paula had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Vivo/Franca and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Georginho de Paula has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 15.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 8.8rpg) and averages impressive 64.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian Juan Cardenas (201-PG-1997) of Luvix/Uniao Corinthians. Cardenas had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Of course U.Corinthians cruised to a 77-70 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Pinheiros (#3, 21-5). This victory allowed U.Corinthians to move up to 11th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 13-13 record is not bad and everything may still change. Cardenas is a newcomer at U.Corinthians, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Sesi/Franca's star - international center Cristiano Felicio (210-C-1992). Felicio scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo, helping his team with a 95-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Cruzeiro (#15, 7-17). Vivo/Franca is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 21-5 record is not that bad... Felicio has a great season in Brazil. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (4th best).
