Winicius Braga claims Brazilian NBB Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented International Forward Winicius Braga (204-F-2005) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Minas Belo Horizonte and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 33.
The 20-year old forward had the game-high 20 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Minas in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Brasilia (#5, 20-8) 92-91. Minas maintains the 4th position in Brazilian NBB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Minas will need more victories to improve their 21-6 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Braga as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Winicius Braga averages this season 9.9ppg and 5.6rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Dontrell Brite (175-PG-1994) of Zopone/ Gali/ Unimed/Bauru Basket. Brite impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Paschoalotto/Bauru to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Vasco (#20, 4-23) 90-70. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Bauru keeps 9th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. Brite is a newcomer at Bauru and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#1). He also recorded 5.5 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was international guard Elio Corazza (195-PG-1989) of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (#6). Corazza showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Corinthians, leading his team to a 82-75 win against the lower-ranked Mogi (#10, 14-12). Corinthians needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 8 lost games. Corazza has a great season in Brazil. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 8.7apg (2nd best).
