Clark's 32-point game gives him Player of the Week award

27-year old American guard Elyjah Clark (191-G-1998) had a great game in the last round for Sport Club Corinthians Paulista and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 34.
He had the game-high 32 points for Corinthians in his team's victory, helping them to beat Sao Jose (#8, 17-12) 103-95. Corinthians is placed at 5th position in Brazilian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Corinthians will need more victories to improve their 20-8 record. Clark has many years of experience at Corinthians, through which he has constantly improved. Missouri Southern State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Clark is in league's top in points (5th best: 16.6ppg) and averages solid 54.3% FGP and 46.3% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Georginho de Paula (197-PG-1996) of top-ranked Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo. He is international guard in his second season at Sesi/Franca. In the last game de Paula recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 11 assists. Bad luck as Vivo/Franca was edged by slightly lower-ranked Flamengo (#3, 22-6) 91-89. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Sesi/Franca still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 23-6 record. de Paula is well-known at Sesi/Franca and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.3ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 8.8rpg and 5.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Jeremy Hollowell (203-SF-1994, agency: BIG) of Luvix/Uniao Corinthians (#11). Hollowell got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He was a key player of U.Corinthians, leading his team to a 83-79 win against the lower-ranked Osasco (#19, 4-23). U.Corinthians needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 13 lost games. Hollowell has a great season in Brazil.
