Important game to mention about took place in Sao Paulo. Fourteenth ranked Cruzeiro (11-19) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Paulistano (18-12) 89-88 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paulistano. American Dominique Coleman (200-1988, college: FMU) stepped up and scored 18 points for the winners and Jamison Costa chipped in 19 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the losing side the former international Guilherme Abreu (200-1999) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Paulistano's coach Demetrius Ferraciu tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Cruzeiro. They maintain fourteenth place with 11-19 record. Paulistano at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost.
