Former international Center Andrezao Barbosa de Abreu (213-C-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Zopone/ Gali/ Unimed/Bauru Basket, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 38.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Sao Jose (#9, 18-13) with 25-point margin 96-71. Paschoalotto/Bauru maintains the 7th position in Brazilian NBB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Bauru will need more victories to improve their 19-13 record. Barbosa de Abreu turned to be Paschoalotto/Bauru's top player in his first season with the team. Andrezao Barbosa de Abreu averages this season 17.9ppg and 10.2rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Tulio Da Silva (203-F-1996) of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube Basquete. Da Silva had a very good evening with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Cruzeiro lost that game 79-101 to the higher-ranked Pinheiros (#1, 26-5). Cruzeiro managed to keep the same 14th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-20 record. Da Silva is a newcomer at Cruzeiro, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.9ppg (#5). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Anthony Harris (191-G-1997) of Basket Osasco (#19). Harris scored 28 points. Despite Harris' great performance the Osasco lost 79-85 to slightly higher-ranked Botafogo (#17, 7-24). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Osasco can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-27 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Harris has individually a great season in Brazil. After 31 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (best scorer).
