de Paula's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

29-year old point guard Georginho de Paula (197-PG-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 40.
He got a double-double of 22 points and 10 assists, while his team crushed UniFacisa (#12, 16-15) with 19-point margin 114-95. Thanks to this victory Vivo/Franca moved-up to the 3rd position in Brazilian league. They are still close to the very top. Sesi/Franca would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 24-6 record. It's de Paula's second year at Vivo/Franca and it's hard to imagine this team without him. de Paula has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 16.6ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 8.6rpg) and averages solid 64.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Guilherme Abreu (200-PF-1999) of Paulistano/Corpore Sao Paolo. He is international forward in his 4th season at Paulistano. In the last game Abreu recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Paulistano to another comfortable win 91-77 over the lower-ranked Cearense (#18, 6-27) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Paulistano to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 19-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. Abreu is one of the most experienced players at Paulistano and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Sesi/Franca's star - center Lucas Dias (207-C-1995). Dias got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was another key player of Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo, helping his team with a 114-95 easy win against the lower-ranked UniFacisa (#12, 16-15). Vivo/Franca is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 24-6 record is not that bad... Dias has a very solid season. In 28 games in Brazil he scored 14.0ppg. He also has 4.4rpg and a FGP of 55.2%.
