Damiris Dantas (ex Botas) joins Liaoning

Damiris Dantas

Liaoning Henye (WCBA) agreed terms with 33-year old Brazilian international forward Damiris Dantas (191cm-92kg-1992). She started the season at Botas in Turkish KBSL. In 19 games she had very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.2apg.
In 2012, she was selected by the Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) in the first round (12th overall) of the draft.
She has also been a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. Dantas has regularly played for the Brazilian senior team since 2010 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2011.
She is a very experienced player. Dantas' career allowed her to visit four different continents, while she played in seven different countries. Dantas tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. She has played previously in Brazil (Ourinhos, Divino/COC/Jundiai, Corinthians, Maranhao and Vera Cruz), France (Villeneuve), Korea (KB Stars and BNK Sum), Mexico (Fuerza Regia), Spain (Celta Zorka) and WNBA (Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream).
Among many awards, her team won the WNBA Eastern Conference Regular Season in 2018. Dantas was voted the Latinbasket.com All-Paulista League Player of the Year and the Asia-Basket.com All-Korean WKBL Import Player of the Year back in 2020.
