Fuenlabrada inks Augusto Lima

Flexicar Fuenlabrada Madrid (Primera FEB) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old Brazilian-Spanish ex-international center Augusto Lima (209cm-104kg-1991, agency: Octagon Europe). He started the season at Longevida San Pablo Burgos in Liga Endesa. He helped his team get promotion to Liga Endesa. Liga Endesa was a little too high level for him, where in 5 games he had just 0.6ppg and 1.2rpg. Primera FEB will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
Lima was also a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. He played for the Brazilian Senior National Team between 2011 and 2022 and previously for the Under 17 National Team back in 2007.
Lima also represented Brazil at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 3.5 points per game and had 6.3 rebounds per game.
He is quite an experienced player. Lima has played in eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). He has played previously in China (Flying Tigers), Croatia (Cedevita), Indonesia (RANS PIK), Italy, Lithuania (Zalgiris), Turkey (Besiktas), Spain (Real Madrid, Unicaja, UCAM, Coviran Granada, and Coruna), and the NBA (Toronto Raptors).
Lima's team reached the Indonesian League Semifinals in 2025. He was named Latinbasket.com All-El Salvador Liga Superior Clausura Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-El Salvador Liga Superior Clausura Forward of the Year in 2020.
