Defending champion Virtus Segafredo Bologna (Serie A) signed 27-year-old Brazilian international 175cm point guard Yago Dos Santos. He began the season at Crvena zvezda in the Serbian KLS league and has been playing there for the past three years.
Dos Santos has been a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. He has played for the Brazilian senior team since 2017 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2018.
Dos Santos also represented Brazil at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 8.8 points per game and had 3.3 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Dos Santos has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). He has played previously in Germany (ratiopharm Ulm), Brazil (Flamengo, Palmeiras, Paulistano), and the NBA Summer League (Chicago Bulls).
Dos Santos and his team achieved a spot in the Adriatic League Semifinals in 2025. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention in 2025.
