Munford's 31-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old POR-BRA forward Rafael Munford (195-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sport Club Corinthians Paulista and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 46.
He had the game-high 31 points adding five rebounds for Corinthians in his team's victory, helping them to beat Osasco (#20, 5-31) 111-96. Corinthians maintains the 6th position in Brazilian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Corinthians will need more victories to improve their 25-11 record. In the team's last game Munford had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 8 attempts. It's his second year at Corinthians and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Rafael Munford averages this season 11.2ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Anthony Harris (191-G-1997) of Basket Osasco. He is American guard in his first season at Osasco. In the last game Harris recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 10 assists. Bad luck as Osasco lost that game 96-111 to the higher-ranked Corinthians (#6, 25-11). This loss caused Osasco to slide to the very bottom (20) position in the standings. 31 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Osasco managed to get this year. Harris is a newcomer at Osasco and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.2rpg and 4.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Osasco's star - Eddy Carvalho (196-SF-1987). Carvalho got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds and five assists. Despite Carvalho's great performance the Basket Osasco lost 96-111 to the higher-ranked Corinthians (#6, 25-11). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Osasco can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 5-31 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Carvalho has a very solid season. In 31 games in Brazil he scored 10.9ppg.
