Brazilian NBB round 47 best performance: Anthony Harris

American Guard Anthony Harris (191-G-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Basket Osasco, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 47.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, two rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Pato (#18, 7-29) 77-68. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Osasco is placed at 19th position in Brazilian NBB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 31 games and recorded just six victories. In the team's last game Harris had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Osasco's top player in his first season with the team. Former Chicago State University star has very solid stats this year. Harris is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.7ppg. Harris is in league's top in and averages impressive 54.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Matheusinho Brito (183-PG-2000) of Botafogo Rio de Janeiro. Brito had a very good evening with 50 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Botafogo lost that game 89-102 to the higher-ranked Flamengo (#5, 27-10). Botafogo is still in a red zone at 16th spot in the standings. 27 lost games are too many comparing to just ten victories Botafogo managed to get this year. Brito is a newcomer at Botafogo, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.9ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 4.1rpg and 6.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Fabricio Verissimo (192-SF-1998) of Luvix/Uniao Corinthians (#12). Verissimo got into 30-points club by scoring 41 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Verissimo's great performance the U.Corinthians lost 82-87 to slightly higher-ranked Mogi (#10, 20-16). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing U.Corinthians needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 18 victories and 18 lost games. Verissimo has a very solid season. In 36 games in Brazil he scored 10.6ppg. He also has 4.1rpg and a FGP of 66.5%.
