Tatui dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Joacaba's 22. Guard Igor Araujo (193-1999) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Guilherme Estevao (202-2000) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Cristhya Fernandes (188-2001) replied with 13 points and Jose Carlos (200-1997) added 12 points in the effort for Joacaba. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Samuel Santos (187-1999) scored 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Gabriel De Oliveira (202-1993) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Augusto Alcassa (211-2000) responded with 27 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tiago Dias (203-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Four Fluminense players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
