Corinthians - Minas 103-97

Corinthians made 27-of-33 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Minas was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Elyjah Clark (191-1998, college: MSSU) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Victao Camilo (203-1997) accounted for 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Corinthians players scored in double figures. Power forward Rafael Rachel (205-2000) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Erik McCree (202-1993, college: La Tech) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Minas in the defeat.

It was a great evening for center Agapy Samoel (205-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). point guard Felipe Borges (188-2003) helped adding 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Pinheiros players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Kaleb Hunter (193-1998, college: UNCG) with 18 points and 6 assists and forward Lucas Siewert (208-1997, college: Colorado) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Vivo/Franca had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Rafael Mineiro (208-1988) who scored 16 points. Panamanian guard Luis Rodriguez (198-1999, college: UNLV) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Felipe Ruivo (188-1998) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists and swingman Anderson Barbosa (192-2000) added 4 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

International guard Kevin Crescenzi (192-1993, college: Dartmouth) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian point guard Franco Baralle (182-1999) who recorded 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Guilherme Deodato (192-1991) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
