Sesi/Franca - Mogi 78-77

Strangely Mogi outrebounded Vivo/Franca 37-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Mogi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard David Jackson (192-1982, college: Penn State) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Cordero Bennett (184-1988) chipped in 19 points. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. The former international center Andre Dikembe (206-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and American forward Duane Johnson (204-1991, college: ESU) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists.

Strangely Flamengo outrebounded Brasilia 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Flamengo was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Rafael Paulichi (202-1998) nailed 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Argentinian-Italian point guard Facundo Corvalan (190-1998) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Argentinian forward Alex Negrete (192-2001) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kayo Manfio (203-1999, college: USA) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Flamengo in the defeat.
