National win women division

The BVI Basketball Federation's (BVIBF) National Summer League concluded on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex with wins for And One and the Nationals.
First up on what turned out to be the concluding night of Basketball, the Nationals beat the Bulldogs, 54-47, to win the Championship series 2-1.

Shauliqua Fahie (173-F-00) was named as MVP after she scored 21 points and 12 rebounds. 'I played well as the team Captain and kept everyone together. We ran the Bulldogs hard and they ran out of steam in the end.'

Other scorers of note were Mahkayla Pickering with 17 points, 4 rebounds and Keithreece Smith with 14 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals.

For the Bulldogs, Darea Malone top scored with 16 points and 5 rebounds, Tafara Phillips added 11 points with 8 rebounds and Tamara Phillips finished with 7 points, 7 rebounds.
