STS Basketball action resumes with Bayside Blazers vs Young Empire - Sep 6, 2018

DUFF's BOTTOM, Tortola, VI - The 'Bayside Blazers' will be looking to its star players Tavon J. Phillip and Dione M. Blyden, to put up another impressive performance if they are to make it past 'Young Empire,' when games continue in the Honourable Julian Fraser Save the Seed (STS) Basketball National League 2018, on Friday, September 7, 2018.
According to the official roster of games, the two teams will meet at the centre of the court at 06:30 PM when action resumes at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff's Bottom, Tortola.

Game two of Friday night's matchup will also see 'Momentum' coming up against 'Warrias' with the 'Warrias' having to redeem themselves, having lost their previous game to DA3RD by one point, 79-78.

Junior Division

Games in the annual league continue the following evening, Saturday September 8, 2018, when players from the Junior Division compete, with 'Young Starz' coming up against 'East Cavaliers.'

That game is set for tip off at 05:00 PM after which 'We Dem Boys' is slated to go up against 'Momentum' and 'Knights' will take on Pure Playaz.

Action continues on Sunday, September 9, 2018, when the 'Junior Bayside Blazers' go up against 'East Cavaliers,' after which, the senior 'Bayside Blazers' will take on DA3RD.

Sunday evening's feature game will see 'Knights' coming up against the 2016 Save the Seed Basketball League Champions 'Splash Brothers.'

Action will continue the following week at the Save the Seed Energy Centre on, Friday, September, 14 2018, with 'Pure Playaz' coming up against DA3RD while 'Splash Brothers' will face off against 'We Dem Boys.'

Meanwhile, Team Owners, Managers, Coaches and Captains are asked to note that the final roster for the 2018 continuation, of the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed Basketball League, is due by Friday, September 7, 2018, after the last game.

All final frozen rosters are to be given to Mrs. Kharid T. Fraser. Where possible, all names should be typed and rosters must be signed by each player. After this, no changes can be made, unless provided for under Section 3, Team Rosters, Item IV, of the By-Laws.

LESTER PROSPER Columbian Dyip (PBA) agreed terms with 30-year old British V.Islands center Lester Prosper (210-106kg-88, college: Old Westbury, agency: Interperformances). He played last season at Worcester Wolves in British BBL league. In 21 games he had 13.7ppg and 9.1rpg. In 2013 (two years after he left the college) Prosper was drafted by Maine Red Claws (D-League) in sixth round (95th overall).
