Leslee Smith
DBL Sharks Sheffield have announced the signing of 6'8 power forward Leslee Smith (203-F-90, college: Nebraska) to add to their roster.

The British Virgin Islands native and resident of Houston, Texas, USA, has signed for the Sharks following a brief exit to Germany from previous BBL club, Bristol Flyers.

'We were looking for a big man position since the departure of club favourite Tony Wroblicky and over the summer we struggled to see the right fit,' said head coach, Atiba Lyons.

'Fortunately, Leslee became available and we were happy to get the deal done.'

Smith has spent the last month getting fit and ready for the season in his hometown of Houston, following his return from Germany.

'I wasn't quite ready for the season for a number of personal reasons, however since I have been home I have focussed on my fitness and getting in good shape to take on the season ahead,' he said.

'I am looking forward to getting to Sheffield and getting started I am sure we can turn the season around there are a lot of great players on board.'

Smith will be ready to play on Friday 19th October when the Sharks take on Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks at home.
