A pair of Ladies to lead BVI women in college hoops. For the third consecutive year Moberly Area Community College women will have a student athlete coming from the Virgin Islands. Shania Liburd is a 58 freshman guard coming from Charlotte Amalie High School. Liburd dumped in 20 points per contest during her senior year and played on the British Virgin Islands Women's National Team.
From UVI to Canada, Joy Victor is enjoying St. Mary's University. St. Mary's University Women's Basketball team had a historic opening in their home gym at Glenmore Christian Academy hoisting up the ACAC championship on October 19th. Victor had 10 rebounds and two points in an 55-41 victory over SAIT Polytechnic.
