Panola traveled to Bossier Parish Saturday afternoon and was able to complete the season sweep of the Cavaliers with a 85-64 victory. The Ponies were able to jump out to a quick start and lead 46-30 at half. The lead would continue to grow, to as large as 28 before the final score of 85-64. The Ponies had a very balanced attack offensively. Franklyn Penn Jr. (190-G-97) led the way with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
The win sets the stage for a huge final week in Region XIV play. Currently, Panola is tied for second at 11-5 with Tyler. Tyler and Panola are both a game back of Region XIV leading Navarro who is sitting at 12-4. Panola plays Tyler at home on Wednesday with a 7:30 pm tip before travelling to Navarro Saturday afternoon. Panola will honor its sophomores before the game on Wednesday.

D'Moi Hodge (193-G)< and State College of Florida Men's Basketball (16-14, 6-6) has completed the regular season in second place of the Suncoast Conference. This earns the Manatees the top seed in the conference tournament, which begins Monday, February 25th. Tip off scheduled for 7:00 pm. By virtue of being the higher seed, SCF will host the game against Hillsborough Community College. The Manatees won the regular season series with the Hawks, winning two of the three games.

Kyanti Blyden (190-G) and Husson College (17-10, 11-3 NAC) used a strong second half to take down the Thomas College Terriers, 82-67, to win their seventh North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.
With the victory, the Eagles defeated the Terriers for the third time in a NAC Championship game, as they continue on to the NCAA Tournament for their 20th national tournament appearance in program history. The NCAA selection show will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 25th to determine their opponent.
