Colombia fired past Jamaica to remain perfect in Group B. Tania Acosta (96) produced 20 points to lead the winning side. Colombia accumulated a 29:22 halftime lead. They went on a 38:14 run in the second half to cruise to the win. Yaneth Arias (184-F-82) and Narlyn Mosquera (F/C) had 10 points each for the winners. Ladonna Lamonth (185-C-90) replied with 11 points and 16 rebounds for Jamaica.
Cuba - U.S. Virgin Islands 81-54
Cuba gained the second straight win in Barranquilla. They cruised past US Virgin Islands to stay perfect. Suchitel Avila (184-F/C-82) delivered 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the winners. US Virgin Islands snatched an 18:17 lead after ten minutes. But Cuba went on a strong 19:8 rally in the second period to take a 10-point lead. They unloaded 45 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Yamara Amargo (179-PF-85, agency: Pro Sports) had 16 points for the winners. Imani Tate (173-G-95, college: Albany) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds for US Virgin Islands.
Group B
Barbados - Puerto Rico 40-109
Dayshalee Salaman (163-PG-90, college: Lincoln Memorial) tallied 15 points and 8 assists to lead Puerto Rico past Barbados. Puerto Rico posted a comfortable 33:11 lead after ten minutes and never looked back en route to the victory. Jazmon Gwathmey (188-G-93, college: JMU) and Allison Gibson (180-G/F-93, college: Oregon St.) had 12 points each for the winners. Shakila Small (190-G) replied with 28 points and 9 rebounds for Barbados.
Guatemala - Mexico 26-83
Mexico fired past Guatemala to improve at 2-0 record at the tournament. Alexis Castro (180-F/G-86, college: Vermont) stepped up with 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge. Mexico established a comfortable 40:15 halftime lead. They held Guatemala to just 11 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Vanessa Dominguez and Daniela Pardo delivered 12 points each for the winners. Astrid Garcia (165-PG-95) and Emily Rosales (178-F-94) posted 6 points each for Guatemala.
